A Vist To The Dr.
When you go to the Doctor if your child is supposed to get a flu shot or any other shot he/she follows doctor orders like roll up your sleeve or look away don't cry usually a child will cooperate with the doctor it really depends on age and maturity level of the patient.Usually the average aged child 8-15 will cooperate if the doctor is of same gender.

Very interesting. What's the psychology behind it?
The psychology behind it is that each child is different, some can handle shots, some can't.
Opinion: I think 8 is too young.
You'd be surprised some people feel more comfortable with a doctor of the opposite gender.
